Profile

Derek Gill is a former senior Public Servant now at NZIER and a Research Associate at VUW’s Institute for Governance and of Policy Studies. Derek has wide-ranging policy interests but with a particular focus on Public Financial Management and Public Administration and Management based on his work at VUW, MSD (CYF), State Services Commission and the Treasury. Derek has also been seconded to the OECD to work on public governance issues and earlier in his career worked in the NZ Embassy in Washington DC.
